On December 10, 2024, the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia hosted an inspiring Peer Learning Event on Financial Education, organized under the OECD/INFE Technical Assistance Project and supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands.
Our Executive Director, Orhan Ceka, was invited to present the Economic and Financial Literacy Program , which we are implementing in partnership with the Economic Fundamentals Initiative (@econfun.initiative). During the session dedicated to civil society contributions, he highlighted the program’s role in empowering youth and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions, while promoting sustainable development.
The event brought together international experts from institutions such as the OECD, EBRD, and Central Banks of Armenia, Croatia, and Georgia, who shared key insights on:
🔹 Revising and evaluating National Strategies for Financial Education
🔹 Addressing gender gaps in financial literacy and inclusion
Our contribution to this platform underscores our commitment to financial education as a powerful tool for creating equal opportunities and fostering long-term economic resilience.
