
On December 21, 2024, Tetovo hosted the Economic Forum #ECONLIT2024 under the theme: “Empowering Future Generations: The Role of Economic Literacy in Sustainable Development.”
Organized by the Liberal Alternative Institute and the Economic Fundamentals Initiative (USA), the forum sparked meaningful discussions on how economic literacy can drive sustainable societal growth.
The event featured key speeches from Orhan Ceka, Executive Director of the Liberal Alternative Institute, Besar Durmishi, Minister of Economy, Academic Abdylmenaf Bexheti, Rector of SEEU, and Luan Imeri from Aflatoun Foundation. They emphasized the transformative power of economic education in building a resilient, informed, and thriving society.
With over 100 participants, including policymakers, educators, businesses, and civil society, the forum hosted two dynamic panel discussions featuring representatives from the National Bank, the Economic Chamber of Northwest Macedonia, Ministry of Economy, universities, high schools and the NGO sector.
Together, we explored strategies to enhance economic literacy and empower future generations for a sustainable and prosperous future.
