We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Open Society Foundation to implement the Digital Platform for Economics Teachers. This significant initiative, running from December 2024 to November 2025, will enhance economics education across North Macedonia.
As part of the Economic Literacy Program, this platform will provide high school economics teachers with a comprehensive suite of resources designed to modernize and simplify the teaching process. The platform will include:
– Lesson plans and presentations for interactive teaching
– Quizzes, case studies, and games to engage students
– Self-paced teacher training on economic pedagogy
– A dedicated section for teachers to request tailored materials
Building on our previous successes, including accredited pilot programs in professional high schools, this initiative represents the next step in our efforts to integrate economics as an elective subject in high schools nationwide.
The Digital Platform for Economics Teachers is a critical tool in equipping educators with modern, practical resources to make economics education more engaging, relevant, and accessible. By preparing students with essential economic knowledge, the program contributes to developing informed and active citizens.
